Delilah
Delilah is a 1-year-old bundle of love and adventure.
One day, this affectionate stray made a bold leap—right into a kind stranger’s car—ready to start her next chapter. Since that moment, she was nothing but loving, grateful, and full of charm.
According to foster mom Tori, Delilah adored people and was always on the lookout for attention and cuddles. Whether she was curled up in a lap, purring contentedly in someone’s arms, or following people around with her adoring gaze, Delilah made you feel like the center of her universe.

Despite her rough beginnings, she had an incredible trust in people and a heart full of love to give. We knew that Delilah would thrive best in a quiet home with affectionate humans.
Delilah was adopted by Amber in Waterbury, VT, on May 18th. Amber and her boyfriend Sean had experience with different kinds of companion animals. They were guardians of two pet snakes and two affectionate lizards who were housed in beautiful terrariums in their own special room full of plants. But fluffy Delilah would be invited to sleep in their bed! |

On May 19th Amber wrote:
“Delilah settled in quite fast! She sometimes is sticking her tongue out, so cute. and when she grooms herself, she tends to flip her ears backwards. She is such a character! She slept right next to me all night.” 🥰
A week later she wrote: “Oh, she loves stealing dad's chair. As soon as he's out, she's in. Those two fall asleep in that chair every night, they already have a special bond for sure ❤️”

Mable & Barbara
In Fall, a cat-loving couple in Lyndonville asked for assistance with a litter of kittens. The kittens’ parents were two stray, skittish cats who had made themselves at home on the property around the house. The couple was committed to keeping the adult cats, getting them fixed and vaccinated, socializing them and surrendering the kittens to the Shelter as soon as they were old enough to be separated from their mother.
At 8-weeks-old, two of the kittens were given into the care of Grace and Brennan, first-time fosters for Kingdom Animal Shelter. They did a wonderful job in raising the two little girls. And their own cat Henri lend a helping paw.

Grace described her foster babies:
“Barbara and her sister Mabel are a pair of rambunctious kittens who love to snuggle with each other and their humans. Barbara, the little calico, loves long naps, a cozy shoulder to perch on, and being involved in daily chores. She is vocal, playful, and a great entertainer.
Mabel, the little tigress, is quick to explore new spaces and can be a little shy with new faces. But all shyness is forgotten when she is invited to play. Then she will happily run about with toys and play fetch. She loves dozing in the sun and will snuggle her way into your heart.
The sisters love adventuring around the apartment and having plenty of things to climb on. They will wrestle, chase, and conquer the home until they fall asleep and rest up enough to start again.”

Barbara and Mabel were adopted on May 18th by a young couple, Addison and José, in Belmont, NH. They had recently renovated their apartment to turn it into a beautiful, bright, uplifted home. Growing up, both had much experience with family pets and were ready to take responsibility for their very own cats. Addison and José kept in touch with Grace for advice and updates on the kittens.
Grace reported on June 8th:
“I have heard that the kittens love to run up and down the stairs in their new home. Barbara is always close and in someone's lap. Mabel is happily looking out the windows and settling in. It sounds like thy found the perfect home and that they are meant to be there. I think it is the perfect situation. As a foster I could not have dreamed of a better home for them!”

Ollie
Ollie is a young, friendly, happy-go-lucky boy who loves to play and cuddle. He is a handsome, soft and happy kitty, just lovely. Ollie was surrendered to the Shelter because his owner didn't have time for him and felt that he was lonely for company.
At the Shelter, Ollie was housed in an area with other young cats, but he had his own private space. He had grown up as a single kitten and was timid about the other rambunctious youngsters; some of them liked to chase after him when they had shared playtime outside their rooms, which Ollie didn’t appreciate. Ollie just wanted to be with humans, and it was obvious that he would be happiest as an only pet.

Chelsea from Laconia, NH, adopted this sweet boy on May 25th. On June 8th Chelsea wrote: Ollie has been settling in quite well! He is very quiet at night and sometimes jumps up on the bed but doesn't usually make any noises or walk around -- he just likes to be near, I think. Ollie has been using his water fountain but also seems to really enjoy the dripping faucet in the bathtub! |

I'm trying out a few different toys (ribbon wand with feathers, wand with "mouse," and one of those tiered track toys with balls in it) and he seems to enjoy them all. He absolutely loves his cat tree! I often find him right at the top -- napping or watching things out the window.
Ollie is very inquisitive about the door. I have to be incredibly careful when I leave and arrive home. He's also very curious about ... pretty much everything! Ollie does not seem overly stressed about me leaving and returning. He is getting into things: opening up cupboards, climbing onto/into the fridge, etc. I'm attaching a few photos of Ollie playing with his ribbon toy. He's so fast that it's sometimes hard to get decent photos! 😺
Take care and have a wonderful Sunday! -Chelsea
