Romper Room

We have a room called “the Senior Suite”. It has, indeed, housed senior cats…and medium cats…and weenie cats. But it has never been quite like it is now….because….
Now there is mama Hope and 6 kittens of varying ages. Two of the kittens are siblings of Addie (perhaps you remember her from previous Newsletters). Four of the kittens are attached to Hope in some way. We think that 2 are actually her kittens, and one is a little older and a tagalong. Hope and her brood were on the streets in Lyndonville. Hope was quite shy…and at first we kept her in a separate room…nice, with a window. But…when we let her out into the hall, she raced over to the gate in the Senior Suite where her kittens were…and they all chortled away to each other. So…being the sensitive folks that we are…we moved Hope into the Senior Suite. And what a difference!! She is so happy now. Everyone in there is a bit shy…but they are coming along, warming up, playing and interacting a bit. Time is our friend….spending time just being in there. They will come around and be gorgeous and loving companions when just the right family comes along. In the meantime, Romper Room, it is…just a bit chaotic and lots of fun.
