Meet Mischa….
Mischa is a beautiful, shy, quiet 12yr old calico kitty who sadly has landed in our shelter because her owner passed away.
Mischa originally came to KAS in 2016. She had had kittens and was adopted into a home in May 2017.
It was discovered, that Mischa developed fear of men and she was returned to the shelter and was adoped by a loving woman in 2018.
Sadly, her owner passed away and Mischa found herself back with us again in 2025.
Mischa was very scared when she arrived, hiding in her tower cubby for quite some time, only coming out to eat. Slowly she has started to trust the shelter volunteers and will stay out on her tower waiting for her meals or watching as you clean her room.
She is still timid with petting, but you can tell she enjoys company as she relaxes as you sit in a chair next to her in her room, talking softly and visiting with her.
She provides gentle eye blinks and purrs and will bob your finger to her nose to greet you.
She spends the day watching the bird feeders on the side of the shelter and enjoys the sun and lounging near the window.
Mischa has been through a lot, and being a senior cat she will take time to learn to love and trust again but she is showing all the signs she is willing to!
Mischa is looking for a quiet, patient, loving, female only home with no other pets, who is willing to give her a safe space to let her unwind and relax at her own pace without expectations.
