Spotlight on Galway
-Helen Morrison
Every now and then a cat comes along that just tugs at your heart….because they are a cat that has seen the worst of times, and yet, remains loving and trusting.
Galway is just one of those very special cats.
Galway came to us with the name Gizmo. His owner had moved out of his apartment, leaving Galway outside, to fend for himself. That was six months ago. When he came to us, he was thin, with matted fur. He had a significant, deep wound on his right temple which was infected. And, he was FIV+. He has been recuperating in one of our intake rooms…and was just recently moved to Jennifer’s Room, a beautiful new room with a gorgeous bow window, where he can spend some quiet time, healing. Galway is a love, and has become very affectionate, loving to be scratched under his chin. It will take some time for him to heal physically, but his spirit is gentle and warming up every day. He could be that special Soul Cat for one very lucky person.
