Spotlight on Goldie
-Helen Morrison
We have in our care a very beautiful, sweet sixteen and a half year old cat named Goldie. She is so named because she has beautiful golden eyes. She was brought to us by a good Samaritan who found her wandering in circles in her yard. You see, Goldie is blind. It is hard to know why she was wandering all alone in someone’s front yard…but she was brought to the loving safety and care of our Shelter. Goldie is just gorgeous….long, white, silky fur. Not only is she blind, but she is at least partially deaf. She has been in foster care for quite some time…and that worked well until the foster could no longer care for her, due to challenges of her own. So, another of our wonderful foster families, the Tuckers, are caring for her beautifully. But they are a busy young family and rightly hope that we might find a home that is quiet and where the foster is home a lot of the time and can spend lots of time with Goldie.
Goldie loves to sit quietly on laps…she can get up onto a lap on her own. She loves to be gently brushed and petted. She eats well and uses the litter box perfectly.
If you would be able to provide such a quiet, gentle home, with no other pets or children, please let us know. She doesn’t need a large space….a good sized room where she can get her bearings, get familiar with surroundings that don’t change…would be just perfect.
Thank you!!
