About Us
MISSION STATEMENT
Kingdom Animal Shelter is a limited access, all volunteer, non-profit certified 501(c) (3), animal rescue organization. Our mission is to facilitate the placement of rescued, abandoned, abused or neglected animals in safe, life-long homes. We respect the inherent value of every animal in our care and we strive to prevent overpopulation and cruelty to animals.
VISION
We envision a time where each animal finds responsible compassionate loving homes where they are free from hunger, fear and loneliness.
We envision a time where animal cruelty no longer exists.
We envision families and communities enriched by the special bond between humans and animals.
BELIEFS
We can reduce the overpopulation of homeless animals through education and partnership with community and by promotion of affordable access to spay/neuter services.
The animals in our care are our guests and will not be euthanized for lack of space or because their stay with us has exceeded a predefined amount of time.
CORE VALUES
With this clear understanding of our mission and vision for the future our actions are guided by our core values.
Stewardship
We are stewards of the reputation and resources of KAS. We manage and allocate all our resources to remain steadfast to our mission and ensure the future of our organization and achieve the most positive outcomes.
Respect
We respect every animal in our care as a valued life. Our decisions are based on our mission and the best interest of the animals.
The general public and KAS volunteers are all valued and respected partners in improving animal welfare and in fulfilling our Mission.
Compassion
We show compassion when dealing with animals and people in distress.
Community Focused
We enrich the community we serve by placing companion animals in responsible, loving homes. We work in a spirit of collaboration with individuals and organizations to protect, promote and enhance the well- being of animals.
Responsibility
We recognize the responsibility of humans to ensure the well- being of animals in their care and to protect all animals from distress.
