​A Tribute to Sweet Milan

For those of you who knew Milan, she was one very sweet, petite, gentle little girl.  She was a Siamese mix, much like a Lynx Point.  She was about 12 years old...but full of energy and excitement.  She loved her food.  And she loved to explore around the castle room and even out into the rest of the Shelter.  Unfortunately, she passed away on Sept. 21.  There is nothing harder than losing one of our kitties.  As you might imagine, we become very attached. 

One of our volunteers wrote the following about Milan:

Last time I saw Milan about a week ago she was a happy cat. We had a special moment and I won't forget that last intense look from her smiling blue eyes. She seemed at home at the shelter, enjoying her life with her big family of caring humans and annoying cat neighbors. I think that's wonderful and shows what a good place KAS is. I'm glad she didn't suffer too long before "crossing over the rainbow bridge". I'll miss her! Julia
