Meet one of our New Board Members: Caleb Stone
(Caleb and Sven in photo above)
Caleb and his partner, Nikki Lefebvre, began volunteering at Kingdom Animal Shelter in January, 2019. They began with tuck in...and have continued to be our tuck in team on Saturday nights. The Board approached Caleb about being on the Board and he accepted. He began his Board duties in October, 2019, for a three year term. In his early 30’s, he is our youngest member. It is wonderful to have his youthful energy and creative spirit.
Caleb is a software quality engineer and brings related skills to the Board. He tends to our FaceBook page, works a bit on our website, did a wonderful job with Giving Tuesday last December, raising $2600 for the Shelter. And he has been working on setting up Vermont Shares for Kingdom Animal Shelter, where State employees can opt to donate to Kingdom Animal Shelter out of their pre-tax payroll. In addition, Caleb is always there to help with fundraisers. Caleb loves being involved with the Shelter. He feels it is very important work, making sure that the cats will be well-cared for. He likes everyone on the Board very much and is very impressed with how well they all work together. He did say he would ultimately like to have another young person on the Board, as well...so that things can keep going so well in the future.
Caleb and Nikki are fostering Sven, and have adopted two KAS kitties, Sadie and Gus. We are thrilled to have Caleb and Nikki as volunteers, and to have Caleb on the KAS Board.
