Our New Little Ones
On April 22 of this year, during a particularly busy Saturday adoption time, a young man came to the door with five adorable three-week old kittens in, yes, a Kraft Macaroni and Cheese box.
Would we take them? We found them by the side of the road. Well, yes…of course we would take them. Luckily a visiting vet was with us, Dr. Diana Roberts, and our veteran foster, Nancy Pellegrino. The two of them went to work, checking the kittens, cleaning them up, giving them tiny amounts of flea meds, weighing them. And then, off they went with Nancy to begin their new lives. Nancy already had one 3 week old kitten that had been found all alone. They were all young enough that it meant that Nancy had to bottle feed them…every two hours…six kittens. Quite the challenge, if you have never done it. Now, they are 8 weeks old and as cute as pie.
Soon, they will get their vaccinations, and then be spayed (they are all females) and they will be ready for their forever homes. Meet Gemma, Midge, Gracie, Flower, Clover, and Angel.
