Tribute to Mr. Peach
-Helen Morrison
On August 27 of this year, we took in a very precious buff colored, long haired, blue eyed boy whom we named Peaches. He stole everyone’s heart, with his engaging personality, his clear eyes looking deep into yours, his loving to snuggle on laps. It soon became clear that Peaches was terminally ill. We gave him the best of care and love for his several months with us and we believe he loved his time at KAS, being warm, and well tended, and dearly cherished.
He passed away on Oct. 28, 2021. Here is what Rod Lauman shared on his FaceBook page:
“Peaches was in Hospice care at the Shelter, he passed away early this morning. He was a sweet boy that came to us as a stray needing help and a safe place to be. We learned of his terminal medical condition and he received nothing but love from his Shelter family ever since. Rest in Peace Mr. Peach. He will be buried in my rose garden.
Rod”
