Volunteer Spotlight: Many of the Whole Gang
Many of our volunteers (and their friends and partners)
On September 6, Kingdom Animal Shelter’s Board of Directors gave their annual appreciation party for all the volunteers. We had a great time at Rod Lauman’s house on Cliff St, enjoying burgers and hot dogs, salads and chips, lemonade and a few beverages more potent, cupcakes and cookies … and especially each other. People hung around from 3 to 5, chatting, having guided tours of Rod’s spectacular rose garden. Door prizes were given out, to the delight of all.
As most know, we are an all volunteer organization. There is no paid staff. It is unbelievable the dedication and care with which these volunteers tend to the Kingdom cats. We could not make it work without them. So hats off to them! There is a special place in kitty heaven for them.
